Idk why I waited this long to start (and finish) it! The premise was already intriguing. There's this middle-aged woman (Phoebe) whose life is falling apart so she decided to kill herself in a fancy hotel. She didn't know that the hotel was booked for a wedding. That's all I'm going to say. It's helpful that I didn't read the blurb and that I came in blind, I HONESTLY THOUGHT IT WAS A ROMCOM. It was.. enlightening to say the least. I loved the prose, the relationships, the human-ness of the characters and the situations. I loved the portrayal of not having your shit together even when you're 40.
Anyway, so that's also the first novel I finished for this month. Currently, I started Patti Smith's Just Kids. I got into non-fiction and memoirs recently because of Belle Burden's Strangers.
Gosh, I really hope I could finish at least 100 novels this year huhuhuhuhu! WISH ME LUCK!
