I finished my 78th novel today which is The Guest by Emma Cline. SOLID 4 STARS. I LOVED IT! Especially the very ambiguous ending!

I am currently reading my 79th novel for 2026! It's The Safekeeping by Yael van der Wouden! So far, so good! I feel like I'm going to hate Eva. It's hate at first read but I'm still only on chapter 3 so it's too early to tell.

I started Love For You around 12 mn today! Song Weilong and Zhang Jingyi are the stars and so far so good. Although, I'm only on episode 2. So far it's... drama. HUHUHUHUHU without giving anything away, I feel so sad for their characters. That is one unhealthy childhood huhuhu

ANYWAY, I was able to finish my 75th book for the year TODAY! It's a solid 3 stars!

ANYWAYYYYYY, my best reads for August are Jawbone and Fruit Fly! I loved those 2 so much! My only 1-star read was Lift Me Up. It was so.. meh. 

Here's to hoping I get to finish 90 books next month. 90!!!!!!!

I'm aimless, heading toward nowhere at the speed of light

I'm on my 73rd book of the year! I'm currently 23% in with A Touch of Jen by Beth Morgan! This is such an interesting read so far and I am HOOKED! I am confident to say that I could finish this in one day IF I don't have ADHD and am not easily distracted. I just want to order seafood boil earlier so I got my phone and then I ended up looking at Le Pliage bags because I want a new one. My mom got me one during med school and it was so USED since it's waterproof and transes easily fit in there. But, honestly.. Idk where I put it. It's lost. My mom wasn't surprised but she harumphed and hmphed. Anywayyy, so I want a new one. Okay, so yeah, I was looking for restaurants that could deliver seafood boil but I ended up in the Rustan's page to look at Le Pliage bags. BUT ANYWAY.. that was 5 hours ago and.. my reading progress got delayed. 

Well, I hope I have the fortitude and discipline to finish it by tomorrow lol

I just finished my 72nd book for the year. I read an Abby Jimenez book. I forgot the title but it's included in the Summer Challenge in Goodreads so I was able to check that box! Anyway, before that, I was able to finish Finding Grace by Loretta Rotschchild. It started out PRETTY GREAT. Omg whatever I'll just post my review from Goodreads because the ending kind of pissed me off:

I MEAN???? Is it me??? AM I JUST JADED???????? But, REALLY, up until the ending - I WAS ENJOYING IT!!!!! I had to pause a few times because it was a trainwreck and it was a lawsuit waiting to happen but I kind of feel pitiful towards Tom? Idk. I mean, personally, I wouldn't be able to keep a lie for that long because it would make the love feel cheap and dishonest but.. Idk. I said, "Dear God" a lot. It was REALLY GOOD but the ending ruined it for me. Ugh.

So, anyway, I tried starting with Murder Bimbo as my 73rd book for the year but I don't know if I would commit because I'm such a mood reader. 

Also, I want new Vivaia loafers and new Salomon XT6 because they're so comfortable. I'm so fixated right now but idk if I should spend my money when I nearly bankrupt myself last month in Australia. Hay.

I am FINALLY on my 68th novel of the year. I just finished Jawbone by Monica Ojeda (3.5-4/5 for me!) and I'm currently on chapter 3 of Fruit Fly by Josh Silver! So far so good!

I started it on my KLC because.. I have to read at least 17 books for KLC ROI but I like the font on my Kindle PPW better (I haven't transferred the font yet on my KLC.)

I am hooked and I just want to read al day but.. I am an adult with a job huhuhuhu.

ANYWAYYYYYY, today is such a lazy day. I woke up at around 7-ish because I had an 8 am appointment with the GOAT, Dra. Mariano. Then after the consultation, chichi a bit with my parents then went back to my room and I watched A Toxic Love Story documentary. Bitch, the plot twist?? It was so WILD and it sucked because it happened in real life! I don't want to spoil anything but omg watch it because WHAT THE FUCK. 

OMG CAN I GEEK OUT A BIT? So, in my previous post I mentioned that I love Anna Dorn, right? BITCH, SHE LIKED MY TWEET!

It's not a verified account but based on the tweets I really think it's her OMFG! I AM FREAKING OUT! I'm seriously going to read all her novels!

Theeeeen, added some new cool fonts on both my KLC and Kindle PPW! Then I took a 2-hour nap HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH woke up around 6 pm and had dinner. Then I took a bath and this is my current sitch:

Omg hello happy Augusttttttt! I'm currently reading my 66th novel for 2026 yayyyy me! It's Jawbone by Monica Ojeda.

I actually kind of went back to my roots this August and devoured back to back weird girl lit.

You know, I LIKE THE WAY ANNA DORN WRITES! If I have no job, I would've finished this novel in a day. ANYWAYYYYYY, I also really enjoyed Perfume and Pain! I think I'm going to read all of her books. BUT WORD OF ADVICE, I think it's better to read Vagablonde first before American Spirits because there were subtle references (I FEEL) in American Spirits that sort of went over my head.

I like weird girl lit and my ultimate favorites are Sugar by Mia Ballard and Boy Parts by Eliza Clark. Bitch, Boy Parts was HILARIOUS. I am not kidding you! For something so unhinged and disturbing, Eliza Clark managed to put some humor into it! 

I laughed so hard when I read this part!

There were so many more hilarious passages and dialogues. I'll try to look for it when my Kindle is within reach because I'm honestly too lazy to get it right now.

ANYWAY, I'm only 11% in Jawbone but so far so good! I'm a mood reader so I hope I can commit to this!

SOOOOOOO, in connection with thatttttt. I was only able to finish 6 novels last month because I was busy doing touristy stuff for 21 days! It's still lucky that I was able to finish 3 novels during that time! At this point, I'm just 63 novels in when I SHOULD BE ON MY 80th NOVEL AT LEAST!!!!! Because my New Year's resolution was to read AT LEAST 10 novels A MONTH! I am so behind HUHUHUHUHU

Anyway, I'm currently reading My Husband by Maud Ventura and I'm currently 51% in! I am digging her obsession HAHAHAHAHAHA and, HONESTLY, so far, her lack of self-awareness. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

It's the first of June! And I finished 1 book today - Shippers by Katherine Center. I actually like her as a romance novelist. Her characters are so nuanced and multidimensional. AND SHE'S REALLY, REALLY, REALLY FUNNY! Kinda like how Sophie Kinsella made me laugh. 

Anyway, I was only able to finish 9 books last month. I know!! SUCKS, RIGHT?? 😩 So, this month I'm just going to shut up and try to read as many books as I can.

It was actually a GREAT MONTH!! I didn't read any 1-star book! My lowest was 3 stars, I think. It's The Goal, iirc, by Elle Kennedy. I really, really, really cannot like Sabrina huhu I love her spunk, I love her passion and determination but she's so.. Idk. I don't like her. 

Best book I read was That's All I Know by Elisa Levi. Granted, it took me a week to finish it but, IN MY DEFENSE, I got distracted with Off Campus 🫦 My 2nd and 3rd favorites are Greedy and Molka, respectively. The ending of Greedy was 🤌🏼 and Molka was just 🔥 (honestly, it's not all men but it's always men) Another runner up was Dear Monica Lewinsky - it was surprisingly hilarious! Dear Monica Lewinsky and Bittersweet kind of tackled the same vibes but I went in blind so.. you know. I feel indoctrinated with powerful men abusing their power and using their positions to exploit female employees. Hay life.

Okay, looking back, maybe the theme of May's reading journey was "Men 🙄" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA You have to read everything I've read this May because, gosh, it's really the recurring theme.

What else what else. Off Campus took over my life so that's all I could think about these days. OMG YES. Read my 8th novel for the month! It's Dear Monica Lewinsky, EASY 4 STARS! It was so sarcastic and funny and thought provoking. I LOVED IT. Might get into it when I'm in the mood, right now I just want to look at Logan edits. BYEEEEEEEE
