Your faded smile strikes me down but I'm not ready at all

The reading slump is TERRIBLE. I'm still on my 3rd novel for the month and it's already October 18, for crying out loud! At this point, I would be happy to finish 5 novels this month. BUT OMG OMG, the book I'm reading (3rd switch for my 3rd novel this month. I am a mood reader and this one feels perfect!) is Agnes Lives! by Hallie Elizabeth Newton and I AM LOVING IT! I feel like she's in the middle of a nervous breakdown and I'm happy enough to join the ride!

Last Tuesday, I had the sudden urge to organize my life (basically, my room) so I went to IKEA the next day and got some of these! I bought like 11 containers for only PHP 1788! It's a steal. It's not enough, though. I still need to buy more

Then I got the popsocket for my PopSockets case! It's cute!

I'm in need of a new manicure. I got 4 different Sally Hansen nail polishes during our Australia trip (they're only around PHP 300++ each! WHAT A STEAL!) and I'm thinking if I should just apply it on my own. Hmmm

Anyway, so, that's that! I can't believe we're halfway October!!!!!!!

Can a gay girl get an Amen?

It still sucks that I missed 1 week of clinic/OPD when I got sick last month. And I'M STILL SICK TODAY! I have minimal cough (honestly, I think it's from post-nasal drip) but I still have coryza. But, at least I could sleep soundly now. Actually, a lot of my patients these days have a CC of cough, colds, and fever. The flu is WILD. I tell them to always wear their masks because the cough etiquette of MOST people are NONEXISTENT.

Anyway, I'm in a bit of a reading slump ughhhh. It's already Oct. 13 but I'm only on my 3rd novel for the month ughhhhh. Hunger and Thirst was okay but it was draaaaaaagging. It was supposed to be horror but I was able to read it at 1 in the morning, in the dark. It didn't give me anything.

Right now, I'm trying to finish the Fall Challenge from Goodreads. So, I'm currently reading See You At the Sunset by Susan Lee. It's okay, so far.

Hmmm, what else. Still lost in life. Idk what step to do next for my career. Uggggghhh God please give me a sign!

My God, it's like the weight has been lifted

It was a couple of weeks (days??) ago when Sam's Town by The Killers celebrated their 20 years!!!!!! So, naturally, I'm on The Killers run recently. They're one of my favorite bands and one of the biggest regrets of my life was missing their concert here in the PH back in 2013. In my defense, I was a broke college graduate, lost in life, in my gap year, and I was too shy to ask my parents for money since - hello, I was not working and they did not pressure me to find any work because I was "finding" myself.

ANNNNYWAYYYYY, look at my all time Top Artists, The Killers is my 4th. But look at the difference between my BTS and DCFC plays.  BTS is life for real HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHA

Hmmm, so last Sunday, I met up with my college friends (minus Eks and Pao) for Cody's baptism! I can't believe Mariam is now a MOTHER! Parang kelan lang palagi kaming runner na dalawa kasi tamad kami mag-isip pareho HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

Went to Masa Madre first with Nikki for (my 2nd) breakfast before going to church! In Ipponyari, we stayed until the maximum alloted time HAHHAHAHAH and waited for Jason!!! But Nicole and Nikki and Kuya Mar left first because of commitments. It was so fun! We reminisced about college and all our collective and individual experiences! Grabe, can't believe college was 13 years ago!

Anyway, what a good way to start October!

It's not just you who felt the pain, now tell me where they keep the rain

This is one of the songs that always, ALWAYS makes me cry. It's just so raw and so honest especially knowing Michael Angelakos's thought and emotional process when he wrote and made Gossamer. Mental health is such an emotional subject for me because it's fickle. I mean, it's chemicals and emotions and it's not like an uncomplicated fever where, okay, you take Paracetamol and you're okay. Idk. Emotional and psychological struggles are something I would never downplay.

On something lighterrrrr, I finished 10 books last month! And, I finished 1 book like around 12 am today.

So, favorite books for September:
1. The Guest by Emma Cline
2. I'm a Fan by Sheena Patel

Disappointing books include:
1. The Safekeep (lesbian soft-core porn basically)
2. Tropesick (the "plot twist" ruined it for me, god damn it. FUCKING GHOST??)
3. Into The Blue (Okay, it's 512 pages of pining. And, JESUS, the push and pull??? As an impatient 34-year-old, it pissed the bejesus out of me. If you're not going to commit, move the fuck on you fucktards??)

ANYWAY, look at what I got today! I bought one for only PHP 650! Support local! It smells good but it doesn't fit my candle warmer. I think I need to buy a bigger candle warmer.

Also, last Wednesday, I bought 2 large brown sugar milk tea at Chatime because there's JJK x Chatime promo. There are only 5 character choices but look at what I got:

Son of a bitch, right? I want Choso or Yuta!!!!

AND OMG OMG AMAZON RELEASED NEW KINDLES TODAY! I'm kind of having buyer's remorse regarding KLC because I really don't like the screen huhuhuhu. I want to buy a new Kindle Colorsoft. I hate myself because it's consumerism at best but I'm really not satisfied with my KLC. ANDDDD it crashes a lot! I mean, is it me?

This one! I want a colorsoft so bad. If I get a new one, I'll probably sell my KLC. I'm actually trying to sell my KLC for only PHP 10k haha

This one's really cute because it's ube and the best color (and dessert) in the whole world!!!!!! Also, it's oo-be not fucking "oob" you white-washers.

ANYWAY, that's all! HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA
