Keep it One Hundred on the land, the sea, the sky

I'm currently on my 60th novel for the year (Taste by David Szalay. I'm only 32% in but so far so good!) but the last really good book I read was back in June 20, 2025 pa. It was Victorian Psycho by Virginia Feito. It was so good! I enjoyed it more than I thought I would've. Anyway, since then, it's been 1-star to 3-star reads all around. The last novel I finished was We Used To Live Here by Marcus Kliewer. Motherfucker, it was so terrible. It was well-received, I think, and had a lot of amazing reviews ++ the premise made me curious so I thought I'd like but son of a bitch, it just left me feeling pissed off and annoyed. It was a day wasted. I hated it.

TO BE FAIR, the start would really pique your interest but, idk, Idk if I've read a lot of mystery and thriller novels that the plot became predictable for me? Like halfway through, "Ahhh fucker, this stupid bitch is going to end up in a psych ward." Guess who ended up right? "Dismaying" is putting it lightly.

Anyway, after 6 years, my laptop is naked. I removed the case because I always break the cases, I DO NOT KNOW WHY! I removed it because I was using a broken laptop case and as I was getting my laptop, it almost slipped so that gave me a mini heart attack. So, I guess, better to just raw dog it than have a totally broken laptop.

I wish this year would end in a good note. Please, please, please Jesus please. Give me something to celebrate please, please.
